We have been in Italy for almost two weeks now!
Although we live in the Naples area, we are going to live outside the city in more of a residential area because we have the dog who requires green space. Our last day of area orientation was a field trip to downtown Naples, or Napoli as the locals say it, to orient ourselves with the public transportation system and city offerings. It was a fantastic day and was super helpful to get us started.
We tested out the trains and cable cars, had cappuccinos and cornettos (the basic Italian breakfast pastry), explored the market in Vomero, shopped 'til we dropped, and saw some famous local attractions such as the pizzeria that invented pizza margarita and the Teatro San Carlo. Naples is a pretty large city and it is filled with so much culture and history. We will definitely be showing off the downtown area to our family and friends who come visit. Who will be first?
