Hi.

I am a proud military wife documenting the adventures, challenges, and joys that come along with an overseas move and a life full of travel! Check out my instagram page for photo updates.

One month down!

One month down!

I cannot believe we have been living overseas for a month already

Time sure has flown by. In fact, I thought we had only been here for a couple weeks until I looked at a calendar this morning. One month down, woohoo. Not woohoo as in we are closer to the end but woohoo as in we have done pretty well our first month here.

Naples is like a beautiful woman with hairy armpits and stinky feet.

Seriously. If you can look past the bad, there is so much good. We love living here and are SO excited for the adventures ahead, but there are definitely challenges and stressful days. Living in a foreign country is guaranteed to bring trials and Naples has it's own set of unique...lets call them "quirks". More on this later.  But really, we have accomplished much in the past month including finding our home for the next three years and signing our lease TODAY. We are so excited to almost be out of the hotel and to have our stuff back. As a little teaser, here is the view from our new living room. Send over some good vibes that the pool will be filled by this summer!

The view is of a protected lake plus the sea and the island of Capri in the far background.

In other news, I attended a PWOC (Protestant Women of the Chapel) retreat in Formia, Italy this past weekend and had a wonderful time meeting new girlfriends, listening to a powerful speaker, and just "retreating" by the coast. The hotel Grande Albergo Miramare is where the Queen Elena of Savoy used to vacation. They still have a royal suite you can stay in where her private apartment was. How cool is that??

Lastly, we had to put our cat, Romeo, to sleep this week which was very difficult. I have had this cat since I was 12 years old and Tim really took him in as his own. Romeo's health was declining over the past few months, with a lot of acceleration over the past couple of weeks, so we had to make the painful decision to not let him continue to get worse. We will miss you sweet boy.

Stay tuned for some exciting trips happening in the next couple of weeks.

Ciao Bella xoxo,

Chloe
